Swiss Leadership Award in International Relations 2005

The Program for the Study of International Organization(s) of the Graduate Institute of International Studies announced the following winners of the Swiss Leadership Award in International Relations for 2005:


Armenia

  • Mr. Mher Abrahamyan, Macroeconomist, External Sector and Foreign Exchange Policies Division, Monetary Policy Department, Central Bank of Armenia; President of the Alumni Council of Armenia. CABIR participant in 2003. Age: 30.
  • Dr. Artak Manukyan, Chief Economist, Scientific Secretary and Member of Scientific Council, Institute of Management and Economic Reforms; Lecturer, European Regional Academy in the Caucasus; Economic Events Manager of the Alumni Council of Armenia. CABIR participant in 2003. Age: 27.

Azerbaijan

  • Mr. Vugar Mammadov, Candidate for Parliament of Azerbaijan; Muskie Fellow Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; Member of Academy of Achievement. Former Member of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan. SIRUS participant in 1997. Age: 35.
  • Ms. Aysel Yagubova, Attaché, Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United States of America. Former Gender Focal Point within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. CABIR participant in 2001. Age: 25.

Georgia

  • Dr. David Bakradze, Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, Parliament of Georgia. SIRUS participant in 1997. Age 33.
  • Ms. Nino Metrevili, Councillor, Foreign Economic Affairs Coordination Unit, Department of International Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Previously Invited Lecturer, Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Development Agency and economic consultant in the private sector. CABIR participant in 2003. Age: 28.
  • Dr. Lali Padiashvili, Member of the Parliament of Georgia; Vice chairwoman of the Committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration, Parliament of Georgia; Lecturer, Tbilisi State University and Caucasus Business School. CABIR participant in 2002. Age: 33.
  • Mr. Mikheil Patashuri, Councillor, Division of Bilateral Economic Relations, Department of International Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Lecturer in Economics and Foreign Trade, Tbilisi Independent University. CABIR participation in 2002. Age: 29.
